Fashion Show | CYCLES. What goes around comes around | IED Roma

Rome. A catwalk of exception, the street; via Branca (IED fashion headquarter) is transformed into a show-event which leaves the big public breathless. Clothing, accessories and jewelry parade alternating with acrobatic performances, two giant white wheels: a flow of shapes, colors and movement show how the youngest creativity is characterized by an element of playfulness. The theme of cyclicality livens in the creations of young designers just graduated. Together with the life cycle is the cycle of fashion, because you reap what you sow, that’s the most precious message left by IED Rome to its talents.

Roma.

This fashion show displays the cohabitation between a bon-ton woman and a very modern masculine look with hints of sportswear. The country-ethnic style finds an ally in the inspiration of gothic cathedrals. The traditional Japanese costume, showing various kinds of kimonos, both for men and for women, is harmoniously accompanied by clothes inspired by the film “Deserto Rosso” by Antonioni. The jackets become protagonists through the refinement of the cuts and shapes, the furs are brightly coloured in hot and intense hues. The colours, from pale beige to powdery pink, light up and brighten in flashes of orange, fuchsia and cobalt blue. The evening dresses, almost intangibly light, flutter with sinuous and elegant movements.

Each stylist found his inspiration in what represents him the most, recreating the sought cyclicality which gives life to an exciting show; a gathering of sensations that stem from the artistic and creative minds of young people who aspire to plan the future of the fashion system.

Clothes that look further and attempt to satisfy the requests of a world that is now increasingly demanding and saturated with offers.

A cycle in continual evolution, that does not forget the past but is projected toward the future, in the great wheel of fashion that is dynamic and relentless.

  2. Beautiful blog… as always! Personally, I tend to “feel” bleak after looking at the show, I think because I’m old and don’t really see any reality for these pieces, but I’m sure there is one, but also… if it were me… I’d go with a different (not so severe) hair style, but then I know this probably highlights the clothes rather than the model… guess that’s why many of them have such dead-pan expressions. LOl You surely can tell that I’m not in the fashion world. I love to look at the beauty, but I don’t always admire/like all the creations. Great blog though 😀

    • The show was very nice and I enjoyed so much the acrobatic performances. Everything was inspired by the shape of the circle, even the models hairstyles! Wow!! The models were actually a little too sad or angry perhaps? LOL. But this depends by designer directions (I found very funny the D&G show, check it out ^_^) … About the clothes, I have to say that some creations I liked a lot, some a little less, but overall I found very interesting the creativity expressed. Thanks Keli, your comments always make me very happy 🙂

      • Well, it makes sense it was built around the circle that the hair would be like that. It does show creativity, I wasn’t aware of the acrobatic performances, but I’m sure that was really cool. I did see some things that reminded me of my youth.. going full circle I guess, but it’s always nice to see what you post. Hope I didn’t sound too negative. I didn’t mean it that way…. I know the girls can’t very well go giggling down the runway, so I guess giving them facial instructions would be difficult. 😀

      • Your comments are constructive and express your point of view. I want to know what you think. I prefer criticism or different opinions from mine, rather than a comment that says “nice post” and attach the link of the blog (as someone does)…I have to thank you because you really read what I write 🙂
