From the porthole of my hotel room, down to the small port of San Marco, I could see the boats, the sea and I felt in my heart a great sense of peace. Few people on the streets, serene people, quiet people; because where there is the sea, there is also beauty in the eye of who looks at it, of who looking at the horizon and perhaps has seen the infinite… I had heard about Castellabate or rather I had seen the film shot in this small medieval village, one of the most beautiful in Italy. It perched on a hill in the Cilento coast (province of Salerno) and I wanted to see it and to discover what lay beyond the scenes seen at the cinema. I walked through its streets, I visited the small square, I felt the scent of its flowers, I took many photos … I have a memory of a place simply wonderful.
